Abstract

OSORIO SANCHEZ, Yeny Leydy. Therapeutic Work: Between the Narrative and Privacy. rev. psicol. univ. antioquia [online]. 2011, vol.3, n.1, pp. 87-94. ISSN 2145-4892.

This paper presents the narrative process as a construction of the personal story, and as a technique for building, rebuilding and confiding this personal story in the psychotherapeutic process. The concept of intimacy is described using Jose Luis Pardo's theoretical proposal which state that in the therapist not only works with the patient's own narrative about their existence, but also with those elements that go beyond this narrative, and that have to be with the intimate. Approaching the intimate is one of the grounds of any therapeutic work.

Keywords : Communication; Experience; Intimacy; Language; Narratives; Word; Significance.
