Abstract

This article describes the family factors associated with drug use among adolescents users. The purpose was to test a predictive model of anxiety, depression, alcohol and drug consumption among adolescent patients from the perception of dyadic relationships in the nuclear family and alcohol and drugs from their parents. The undeniable relationship between substance use and mood disorders, show rates that reflect clinically significant symptoms of severity. Symptoms of anxiety and depression are recorded among women drug users than among men. Family relationships are perceived by users and almost negative emotional support, authoritarian, intrusive and damaged from a communicational point of view.
