Abstract

Stress is usually classified according to their source in the categories of academic stress and burnout. Academic stress is defined as a reaction of physiological arousal, emotional, cognitive and behavioral to response to academic events perceived as stimuli. It has been investigated in relation to variables such as gender, age, profession, coping strategies, and so on. The aim of this paper is to review some cognitive models of stress, including The Cognitivist Systemic Model of academic stress, to establish a discussion between them.
