Abstract

In the research undertaken with a sample of 408 higher education students we resorted to the Scale of Strategies for the Reconciliation of Professional and Family Life to assess the variables Reconciliation through Concession'' and ''Reconciliation through Negotiation''. It was observed that the study participants tend to agree with negotiation as the strategy for reconciliation; however there are statistically significant differences with regard to gender and political orientation. In this sense, men and people with right wing or centre-right wing political orientation tend to disagree less with concession as a strategy for reconciling professional and family life.
