Abstract

HURTADO, María Paula  and  FINCK, Carolyn. Beyond Religious Behavior: The Post Critical Belief Scale in Women with Breast Cancer in Colombia. rev. psicol. univ. antioquia [online]. 2013, vol.5, n.2, pp. 45-62. ISSN 2145-4892.

The aim of this research was to evaluate if the Post Critical Belief Scale (PCBS), developed by Hutsbaut et al (1996, 1997) is a valid instrument in the study of religiosity and spirituality in breast cancer patients in Colombia. The results showed an adequate convergent and diverget validity, when compared with the other two instruments used (SBI-15 TR, System of Belief Inventory and some items of the BMMRS, Brief Multidimensional Measurement of Religiousness/Spirituality). On the other hand the scores obtained in the CFA were not the expected, and three factors were extracted instead of two.

Keywords : PCBS; Religiosity; Spirituality; Mental Health; Breast Cancer.
