Abstract

The psychiatric reform is reaching the age of 30. In Brazil, the movement proposes a new assistance model, based on concept of amplified clinical, in which the subject in mental distress, his family, professionals of various categories and communities interact in a dialogical movement, building another paradigm of mental health. In this way the assistance is reorganized by a group of special attention that includes the Centro de Apoio Psicossocial - CAPS (Psychosocial Support Center); it is an area of care and shelter that allows the listening and freedom of speech, encouraging the personal growth, autonomy and building of links, promoting the social insertion. In the CAPS, the subject is considered in his totality as subjective as existential, and his human, civil and individual rights are respected. In the end the workshop of poetry an activity realized in the CAPS Renascer, in which we objective to promote an environment of meeting between the users in which the culture run through poetical material, promoting the access to the knowledge, exchange of views and the culture production.
