Abstract

This article proposes to present a focus groups proposal as a contribution to school psychologists´ work. These groups were created as an instrument to reduce interpersonal conflicts at schools. Based on Person-Centered Approach, these groups happened for two months and were attended for 115 students and nine teachers in two selected schools. During these groups, we could realize that the listening person-centered contributed to the recovery/ legitimacy of the group as an instrument to change relationships. In addition, participants could experience new ways to understand and act in their school daily. This brief experience has brought us an important insight: it´s possible to modify the current relational paradigm, where press intolerance and violence. We can build more harmonious relationships that will contribute certainly to the teaching-learning process.
