DOXSEY, Jaime Roy. Essay on ethical behavior in the person-centered approach. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2011, vol.3, n.1, pp. 135-153. ISSN 2175-2591.
The text examines the directions of the production of studies in the person-centered approach (academics or not) in Brazil attempting to encourage reflection on the evolution of the practice since the scientific work of Carl R. Rogers. The legacy of the pioneering work of Rogers obliges us to recognize the need to continue the search for a scientific knowledge of our practice. Federal guidelines in Brazil for research with human protocols oblige us to rethink our current systems of data collection, the previous autonomy of our studies as well as the need to discuss possible requirements for the presentation of research articles and reports in conferences, seminars and other events in the Person-Centered Approach. The text also highlights the importance of creating space in national and regional events for dealing with critical ethical issues, both in psychotherapy and in the production of written work.
