The present paper is a result of the process of implementation of the Psychology Service offered by the Espaço Viver Psicologia in the context of health in Florianópolis/SC. The main objective is to describe the insertion of the Person-Centered Approach in the context of health. It also have as specific objectives to present the fundamentals of PCA; to relate its principles to the policies of health at the XXI century and to show the development of the activities of the Psychology Service offered to people under contract with Unimed Grande Florianópolis. The methodologies used to reach out these objectives were bibliographic research and the description of the experience of psychologists who work at the Espaço Viver Psicologia. The outcomes of the research presents the importance of the stance proposed by Rogers in several kinds of relation, as well as the need of openness to the experience as it is experienced.
