Abstract

PONTE, Carlos Roger Sales da. Reflections about the anguish at Rollo May. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2013, vol.5, n.1, pp. 45-56. ISSN 2175-2591.

In order to show some definitions to pound on the anguish in Rollo May, I present shortly, in first place, the nuances of the phenomenological posture of May in the formation of his Existential Psychology. In second place, I describe the concept of self perception, exclusively human phenomenon and necessary to the experience and understanding of being-anguish. For last, I show the concepts of Rollo May that describe the experience of the anguish like phenomenon in which it surfaces to a human one in his existential possibilities of choice, paradoxical exercise of freedom and tension.

Keywords : Rollo May; anguish; self perception; existence.
