This study aimed to analyse the meaning of the Break's Group to the José Lourenço Settlement's young people, in Chorozinho-CE, seeking to identify the influence of the group in the construction of the identities and sociability of the youth. We favored the fieldwork and observation as procedures, field diary, interviews and group of discussion. We discovered that is among the group that young people are building their history, tracing their path, projecting their dreams. We noted that the Break's Group is also the group of friends that chat, watch movies and stroll together, creating this way their sociability and identities. For the young people the group is an source of friendship, learning, leisure and conviviality, and thereby assumes a significant importance in their lives.
