Abstract

MARIANO, Renner de Almeida Bernardes. Comprehending couple and group in the film "Bob, Carol, Ted e Alice" from a Rogerian approach. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2013, vol.5, n.2, pp. 83-98. ISSN 2175-2591.

The general objective of this work is to relate the film " Bob & Carol & Ted & Alice" (USA, 1969) with the conceptions of group and conjugal relationships of Carl Rogers. It's described through the work the rogerian theoretical approach and we try to comprehend how the interpersonal relationships occurs through the film, identifying the cultural-historical background of it that presents the same themes developed by Rogers. Besides that, the ideas and connections created by the author that are present in the movie are described though this paper, such as; the conceptions of acting by what it's felt; of confrontation and feedback; of insight; and of self-producing organism. At last, issues of human relationship are presented in contemporary times. It can be understood that transparency and sincere communication about the own feelings in each context can make it happen an opening of the other to the same process, promoting authenticity and opportunity of development with the other.
