Abstract

MIRANDA, Rodrigo Lopes; ANTIPOFF, Cecília Andrade  and  BARROS, Delba Teixeira Rodrigues. Experience in the history of psychology: connections Brazil and United States of America. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2013, vol.5, n.2, pp. 99-114. ISSN 2175-2591.

This paper is an experience report of three Brazilian researchers on the history of psychology, who travelled to the Center for the History of Psychology of the University of Akron, United States. These experiences are about: (a) what is the Center and what happens there, (b) context of each one of those visits, (c) some learning in archival research on history of psychology, (d) researchers’ impressions and (e) curiosities. We expect this paper to invite our readers for visiting the Center; a virtual visit or, rather, an in-person one. Therefore, we believe this paper presents the history of psychology as a prominent and fascinating area in the Brazilian psychology.
