essay that analyzes the book "The Second Sex" by Simone de Beauvoir, emphasizing reflection of the concept of patriarchy on the problem of formal political participation of women, and some "myths and facts" approach that contribute to the oppression of women . The project was built in an existential phenomenological perspective of gender, so to show the dynamics of women's actions focuses on the concept of "lived experience" that contributes to the understanding and "misalignment" of the perspective of the status quo. Such a perspective can be articulated networks of the concept of gender as a staff study of hierarchical social relations, defended by another theoretical concept, Joan Scott.
