In the brazilian psychological academy, it is commonly accepted the notion of Gestalt-Therapy possesses such serious theoretical approaches to Phenomenology that it is valid to call it a "Phenomenological Approach ". One aims to contribute to the discussion about whether the Gestalt-Therapy can be classified that way. The paper consists in a theoretical research that chooses, at first, four points of possible analytical comparison between the theories in order to attest what level of convergency exists between them. Out of the four chosen points, the analysis showed that only two had partial convergences, whereas two had extreme divergences. Thus, the results were considered unsupportive of the statement that Gestalt-Therapy is a Phenomenological Approach.
