Abstract

NETO, André Alves Ximenes  and  PONTE, Carlos Roger Sales da. The understanding of angussy in Carl R. Rogers psychotherapy: Brief study. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.1, pp. 22-37. ISSN 2175-2591.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol10(1).n04artigo23.

This study proposes a reflection on the understanding of anguish in personcentered psychotherapy, with the basic starting point some works of Carl R. Rogers (1902-1987). The study was conducted from concerns resulting from this issue and the interest to know how person-centered psychotherapy understands the anguish. Through a literature review, it was revealed anguish design as a phenomenon inherent in the existential reality, belonging therefore the phenomenal field of the person. With the production of such a study, also realized is that anxiety is invariably associated with a state of maladjustment, coming from the person lived by disagreement between the "Self " and his experience. Therefore, the therapeutic process appears as an element that contributes to the reduction of anxiety, as one tends to update itself or under an organismic perspective, fully operational.
