In this study, we sought to reflect on the possibilities of clinical management based on the gestalt approach in people during their experience of cultural exchange. This article is a possibility to broaden views on this phenomenon that aims to discuss culture exchange in all stages of this experience, from the decision to do the geographic displacement to the return to the country of it originate. The database was used with publications in the area of cultural exchange, as well in Gestalt-Therapy. Based on its theories, concepts and the possibilities of clinical performance this study try to understand the interaction between the organism in its new environment, as well as its cultural friction that reveal creative adjustments, interruptions of the contact, the search for the new experiences and personal growth.
