The article discusses the domestic sexual violence against children in the perspective of Gestalt Therapy, focusing on transgenerational transmission of the abusive cycle, from the clinical experience. The violence that occurrs in this generation emerges from a background of mistreatment, negligence, exclusions, in which the abuse is a symptom of a dysfunctional system. Traumatic situations leave a gestalt opens that leads to the compulsion to repeat, the base of transgenerational transmission process. The child victimized comes uncover family secrets and to expose the fragility of the family's close ties, the reversed roles of parents not committed to the care, love and protection of the child. There's a familiar universe to be known, a familiar pain to be brought to consciousness to stop to reverberate in the minds of future family members. The task of the therapist is to unveil the secrety of the unfinished business of the family that are perpetuated from generation to generation.
