Abstract

JOSGRILBERG, Rui de Souza. The essence of the psyche in Husserl phenomenology and its redirection in Merleau-Ponty. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.3, pp. 22-37. ISSN 2175-2591.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol10.n03artigo34.

The central point in the text is to recall in mind the question about the sense of the psyche and the efforts of Husserl and Merleau-Ponty to overcome the dualism between the sensible and the intelligible. After analyzing the question in Husserl, especially in the Crisis of the European Sciences and Transcendental Phenomenology, we deal with the theme trough the extension that Merleau-Ponty inflicts to de husserlian notion of "operating intentionality" and the proposal of an ontological rehabilitation of the sensible. As a result we have a characterization of the psyche that passes through a non transcendental constitution, not exclusively through the conscience, but trough a genetic approach of our relation to senses and its modulation by the psyche which has its original manifestation occurring as a sensible materiality. The psyche is described as a relation and modulation of meaning, with others, with the constitution and sedimentation, individually and socially, and concretely lived the life-world.
