Abstract

SILVA, Nayane Aparecida da Costa  and  FREITAS, Joanneliese de Lucas. "The Question Concerning Technology"in Heidegger: considerations about the Psychological Practice. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.1, pp. 137-156. ISSN 2175-2591.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol11.nº01ensaio46.

Heidegger studied the problematic of technology and our relationship to it. The philosopher argues that by understanding its essence, there is a chance to free ourselves from its demands and build a freer relationship with it. Since psychology is immersed in this horizon, it is relevant to question how the technology requests it and the ways the techniques emerge in the psychotherapeutic context. In this herein work, the purpose is to reflect on how the technology traverses the psychological and psychotherapist practices, supported by the meditation proposed by Heidegger. It is argued that modern technology transforms human itself into a product. The technicism in psychological practice would respond to this demand, although the phenomenological-existential analysis would seek the apprehension of téchne as alétheia, where healing, health and the relationship with the psychotherapist reveal the very existence as poíesis and not as a product.

Keywords : Phenomenological-existential Psychology; Heidegger; Psychotherapy; Technology.
