Abstract

YANO, Luciane Patrícia  and  LIMA, Mayara Carvalho de. The mirror neurons and the therapeutic relationship in Gestalt Therapy. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.2, pp. 140-155. ISSN 2175-2591.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol12.nº02artigo70.

Considering the importance of the therapeutic relationship for the psychotherapeutic process, this article presents the theory of mirror neurons and their participation in this process. For this, we developed this work, starting from the Gestalt Therapy ecological point of view, followed by the theoretical presentation on mirror neurons and the therapeutic relationship in Gestalttherapy and, finally, weaving an approach on the location of mirror neurons in the process of therapeutic relationship in Gestalt therapy in order to provoke a look at this subgroup of neurons and their potentially poetic participation in those who have separated themselves from a sacred ground in Gestalt therapy: a relationship between person and person.

Keywords : Gestalt Therapy; Mirror neurons; Therapeutical relationship.
