This article aims to carry out the report critical and reflective experienceabout the experience ofsupervised internship in Psychology in the field of mental health, through participation in a workshop of expression and art. The internship was developed during 2015 in a Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS) in the city of Goiânia-GO. The experience gave the trainees a theoretical and practical experience of the work of psychologist in the field of mental health, being able to recognize his role, limits and collaborations.. It also made it possible to know and experience the practices of psychosocial care and assistance and to highlight art as a resource for promoting the therapeutic use of mental health service users.
