Abstract

MAROJA, Maria Clara Santana; FERNANDES, Maria Neyrian de Fátima  and  ALMEIDA JUNIOR, José Jailson de. Integrality in training: understanding of supervisors and the of multiprofessional team. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.3, pp. 176-197. ISSN 2175-2591.  http://dx.doi.org/10.26823/RevistadoNUFEN.vol12.nº03artigo80.

The objective was to verify the understanding of residents and tutors about comprehensiveness in mental health training. It is an evaluative, participatory, qualitative research, of the Single Case Study type in the Multiprofessional Residency in Mental Health Program. Individual semi-structured interviews were applied to tutors (7) and preceptors (7), and a focus group with 20 residents. We observed that the guidelines offered in the tutoring and preceptorship meetings go beyond biological assistance to patients with mental illness and include understanding the reality of these subjects. We found that the curricular commitment to the characteristics of the assisted community, combined with collaborative practices between the different health professions, enabled residents to see the patient with mental illness not only under the various biological knowledge, but also understanding him in the complexity of your reality.
