Abstract

REIS JUNIOR, Leandro Passarinho  and  ADSUARA, Carmen Hannud Carballeda. Indigenous suicide in Brazil: a sistematic review. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.1, pp. 70-82. ISSN 2175-2591.

The objective of the present work is to analyze the production on suicide among indigenous peoples in the field of indigenous "mental" health in Brazil, seeking to discuss the power relations in science, the ethics of collective health care based on Brazilian scientific production. The systematic review methodology was used, selecting articles from the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and SciELO database in the last five years. The data show that although the theme of suicide has grown in the country, when we focus on indigenous realities, academic production has shown itself to be timid, requiring greater investments in order to give the necessary visibility to this population, mainly through the view of Psychology.

Keywords : Indigenous Suicide; Systematic review; Psychology.
