Abstract

BISOTTO, Luisa Bento; CARDOSO, Nicolas de Oliveira  and  ARGIMON, Irani Iracema de Lima. Maternal Anticipatory Grief: an integrative national review. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.1, pp. 98-113. ISSN 2175-2591.

The process of grief is extremely complex, especially when it is related to the loss of a child. This paper aims to identify the main feelings and social factors that may influence during the elaboration of anticipatory maternal grief. An integrative review was conducted by consulting the virtual databases: Virtual Health Library (Bvs) Scielo and Pepsic. After applying the pre-established inclusion and exclusion criteria, 5 articles remained for analysis. The results indicate that the main feelings aroused during the elaboration of maternal grief were the sadness (n = 4), guilt and frustration (n = 3). It was also found that the support of the family and the multi-professional hospital team are the main social factors associated with the elaboration of maternal grief.

Keywords : Maternity; Grief; Hospital; Multiprofessional Team.
