CAVALCANTI, Mirela Guimarães; ROCHA, Amanda Fernandes  e  MORAIS, Sílvia Raquel Santos de. In the middle of the internship was a pandemic: experience as clinic apprentices. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2021, vol.13, n.2, pp. 108-119. ISSN 2175-2591.

ABSTRACT This research originates from the professional internship experience in Psychology at a school service in Pernambuco, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective was to discuss this experience before and during the pandemic, listing the main challenges faced during the transition from face-to-face clinical care to remote mode. The learning of the psychological clinic was discussed in an Existential Phenomenological perspective, in the manner of Heidegger. This is a descriptive qualitative research in the form of an experience report. For that, we used field diaries containing notes of the context lived and the supervision of remote care, which were interpreted by the analytic of sense. As a result, the internship experience pervaded by anguish, tiredness, ethical commitment and hidden mistrust stands out. The recomposition of the training process presented itself as the main challenge. It is concluded that supervision, openness to change and understanding of clinical action beyond what was instituted were crucial for the learning in question.
