ABSTRACT This work presents the report of a preventive intervention of emotional support and first psychological care to the academic community at a university, during the Covid-19 pandemic, considering the care of oneself and other-selves. Several preventive actions of collective approach were developed, based on the demands of the concrete reality that was presented in 2020. The project, created from a team of professionals, teachers and students, elaborated and carried out workshops, conversation circles, training and comforting and developed promotional materials that offered relevant preventive emotional support considering the moment that was lived, reaching the internal and external community of the university. The actions, mediated by screens, proved to be adequate to preventive emotional support, as identified in the participants' feedbacks. Providing collective support spaces proved to be essential at this time of crisis for the community served. Phenomenology, in dialogue with other contributions, was essential to support such practices.
