Abstract

MENEZES, Aline Beckmann; ALMEIDA, Cristiane Martinez de  and  RIPARDO, Rachel Coelho. The insertion of School Psychology in Popular Education: an experience account. Rev. NUFEN [online]. 2022, vol.14, n.1, pp. 1-10. ISSN 2175-2591.

This experience report proposed to present activities related to the insertion of School Psychology in the context of Popular Education. 180 students and 10 teachers from the Jurunas Popular Education Movement (Belém-PA) participated. Workshops and a project were carried out. It was observed that in all the classes in which the workshops on depression and anxiety were held, there was engagement, due to identifications with the symptoms presented and their relationship with ENEM. About the professional guidance project, there were speeches about incapacity to perform certain professions and lack of motivation. With regard to teachers, the complaints referred to aspects of internal organization and request for workshops at the beginning of the school year. It was considered that the proposal of this work was achieved, as it provided everyone involved a space for equal dialogue, evidencing the existence of external factors to the educational environment that directly influenced academic performance and professional choice
