This article presents one of the stages of the study about the subjective dimension of the social difference in São Paulo city, that was made in the region with the second worst index of exclusion. This article aims to contribute to studies of this phenomenon, broadening the scope of the issue of inequality in the Psychology. The field research, started in 2006 by students and professors of the PUCSP, is performed in view of the Socio-Historical Psychology. To identify and analyze the subjective dimension of this phenomenon in social dissimilarity, interviews were conducted with groups of men and women, chosen in different regions of São Paulo, characterized as more or less inequality by the Atlas of Social Exclusion prepared by Pochmann and Amorim (2003). The makes it possible r suggest that social inequality has also been characterized by subjective aspects, which concern the different ways for people to feel included in São Paulo.
