This article aims to reflect on the importance of participation in projects that articulate the trivet research, teaching and extension for the training of Psychology. We start from the experience in "Projeto Bandeira Científica", a health promotion project linked to the Pro-Rectoship for Culture and University Extension and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo to discuss the Psychology in the health field, interdisciplinary work and actions with the community. We present a brief history of "Projeto Bandeira Científica" and the Institute of Psychology of the University of São Paulo inclusion in it. Then, from experiences in a small municipality located in the northern part of the country, we expose how we understand the teaching, research and university extension in this project. We conclude that it helps to provide the questioning of the terms and the articulation of the trivet university, as well as the psychologists knowledge and practices.
