Abstract

AVILA, Daniel Camparo. O desejo (i)limitado: conflito e satisfação em Hobbes, Freud, Reich e Espinosa. TransForm. Psicol. (Online) [online]. 2010, vol.3, n.2, pp. 54-70. ISSN 2176-106X.

This work aims to discuss if the status of the relationship between desire and object is significant in the determination on the possibilities or not of common life among men. To this end, it takes a brief exposition of considerations of four thinkers: Thomas Hobbes, Sigmund Freud, Wilhelm Reich and Benedictus of Espinosa, to draw up a plan of pre-ordinated lines oriented toward the problem in question. We found between the authors undeniable consistency in argument and demonstration of its hypotheses indicating a membership of concepts and a diagram of the thought of desire. We conclude that the relationship between subject and object operates, on the theoretical horizon of limited or unlimited desire, the conditions of sociability or of the trend aggression expressed in the plan empirical of life. For them, the definition of the nature of the desire covers the very essence of the human being, in particular when compared with the essences of other social animals.
