The consumer capitalism brings important changes in the manner of socialization and jouissance ordination. The endless search for satisfaction is the "word of the day", even if it is impossible. In this context, a cynical reason seems to be more and more present in all human relations. This article intends to discuss the cynicism as a socialization mode and its consequences, based on lacanian psychoanalysis. It proposes a precise definition of cynicism, its relation with ideology, the main features in identification scope, and the apparent critique failure - as a result of its own ironic manner of jouissance ordination.
