The article discusses Lacan's four discourses mathema, formulated during his Seminar 17, articulating this with the Seminar 16. For this purpose, we emphasize the psychoanalyst discourse, more specifically, the knowledge in the place of the truth. After that, contrasting to our findings in the four discourses, we returned to the lacanian re- reading of the Pascal'sWager, in which he changes the question: from Does God exsit? to Does I exist? We concluded that the repositioning of the knowledge due to the materna rotation had already appeared in the preceding Seminar.
