Abstract

PEYON, Eduardo Rodrigues. From the belief in myth to the faith in searching: reflections. Trivium [online]. 2013, vol.5, n.1, pp. 72-84. ISSN 2176-4891.

From the distinction between myth and logos, which appears with the birth of Philosophy, the article reflects on a distinction between two possible ways of relating to the search for truth: belief and faith. To support this distinction a reflective journey that passes through the development of the concept of image in classical Greece and reaches to differentiating between the dimensions of the Imaginary and the Symbolic in the work of the psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan is held.

Keywords : Belief; Faith; Imaginary; Simbolic; Psychoanalysis.
