From the effects of language and writing unveiled by Joyce in Stephen Hero, and developed by Lacan in the seminars of the years 1970, this article seeks to demonstrate how psychoanalysis, since Freud, can be said to be a "clinic of the phoneme". With Lacan, the author emphasizes the interpretation by the mistake and the pun, asking to what extent we should rethink the clinic of psychosis. At the end, he proposes an interweaving of neurosis and psychosis in the reduction of meaning through words.
