The article discusses the links between the notion of resistance and the constitution of the techniques of the self in Michel Foucault's latter works. Therefore, it presents the technology of the self as one of the sources of resistance, pointing out how the constitution of ethics is indissociable from the discovery of a third axis, distinct from both power and knowledge. It intends, from the discovery of this third axis, to think of a new statute for subjectification with the possibility of a practice of freedom.
