Abstract

This article aims to reflect upon psychosocial factors that enhance ideations and suicide attempts in the elderly. A multicentric and interdisciplinary research has been done to consider the unique situation of each elder, having as parameter the "Enlarged Clinic" aimed to address the many facets surrounding the suffering of the subjects. The results indicate worsening of disease and disability, abandonment, physical abuse, psychological, financial, neglect and self-neglect.
