Abstract

This article presents the relationship between the Russian artist Vassili Kandinsky and Psychology through the identification of psychological concepts in his writings, such as the ideas of conscious/unconscious and the psychological effect of the work of art. Psychology is also an important subject linked to Kandinsky's participation in the Institute of Artistic Culture and in the Academy of Artistic Sciences, created after the Bolshevik revolution. In these institutions, the artist developed empirical researches and played administrative roles.
