Abstract

The article discusses the issue of subject constitution in its beginning, regarding the child self-image structuring. It will be used Freud"s theory, about self-eroticism and primary narcissism formation; Lacan"s, about the mirror stage and the identification with the self image that the other (Other) introduces; Dolto"s, about the unconscious body image; and the addition of other author"s pertinent subjects. It will be associated to the theory some clinical cases about two patients who were listened by the author, in order to give account of the issue in discussion. This assistance was held at the Psychology Care Clinic of UFRGS, as part of the Specialization Course in Clinical Care with emphasis in psychoanalysis.
