Resumen

FERREIRA, Camilla Mariana Rehem. The love said by a woman - the transmission from Diotima to Socrates. Trivium [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.2, pp. 184-191. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2017v2p.184.

To talk about love Jacques Lacan brings us to the dialogue The Banquet by Plato. In Banquet, Socrates, upon the speech of love, passes the word to a woman: Diotima, the Foreign. He does it because when the subject is love the socratic method of the game of significants fails. Even though Socrates knows well the things of love, he can't speak of them unless on the not-knowing field. What is implicated in this transmission from Diotima to Socrates will be discussed in this article.

Palabras clave : LOVE; WOMAN; SPEECH; TRANSMISSION.
