ALVES, Márcia Barcellos  e  POLI, Maria Cristina. A feminine writing: "The sea wall", de M. Duras. Trivium [online]. 2017, vol.9, n.2, pp. 218-231. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2017v2p.218.

Marguerite Duras caught the attention of Jacques Lacan by the style that marks her written. This style is characterized by an instigating approach to the feminine, a field developed by Lacan in his last Seminars. "The sea wall" (1950) was one of the first works of Duras and it already makes explicit the particular form of her writing. The style of this "writer of the feminine" interests this article especially in the book in which one mother is taken as the main character. Thus, in addition to the matter of the written, the plot of "The sea wall" is also explored, mainly through the impasses of the presence of the feminine and the motherhood in the Mother. Through Lacan's formulations on the dynamics of jouissance, this article proposes that such questions be worked out.
