Abstract

REGO, Claudia de Moraes  and  MARCONDES, Carolina Costa. A Reading of a malaise in contemporaneity: sex, gender and sexuation. Trivium [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.1, pp. 24-34. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2018v1p.24.

This article proposes, starting from the reading of Michel Foucault's book Herculine Barbin dite Alexina Birbin two operations: first, the analysis of what we call a malaise in contemporaneity, created by the encounter of the author with the memories of Herculine Barbin, an intersex subject born in 1838; second, a psychoanalytic reading of the memories of Herculine Barbin.

Keywords : HERMAPHRODITISM; ERROR; TRUE SEX; TRUE GENDER; TRUE SEXUATION.
