Abstract

GOMES, Rebeca Carolinne Castro  and  FONTENELE, Laéria. Liev Tolstói: the novelist and the dogmatic. From the perennial conflict to the literary production. Trivium [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.2, pp. 232-244. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2018v2p.232.

Given the complexity of Leo Tolstoy's narrative, this research aims to analyze the author's style issue. The methodological chosen was the survey of information about the author, his literary traits and, because they are inseparable, their doctrinal traits. It was noted that the unmistakable pathos of his style is a tension between two facets, a moralist and a literary, so that its relevance lies in the construction of a hybrid literature, marked by a conciliatory dialectic between doctrine and fiction.

Keywords : LITERATURE; LEO TOLSTOY; DOCTRINE; FICTION.
