Abstract

SILVA, Fábio Augusto Rainer Dantas de Mello  and  KOSOVSKI, Giselle Falbo. The problem of psychobiography in Kant with Sade. Trivium [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.1, pp. 18-29. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2019v1p.18.

This research paper proposes to discuss how the Lacan's text Kant with Sade approaches or moves away from a psychobiography. In the literature, Lacan is assumed to be a critic of psychobiographies, although there are texts of his own that seem to show an affinity with the genre. This question becomes more complex when Miller mentions that Kant with Sade is Sade's legitimate psychobiography. It is concluded that Kant with Sade escapes from a classification that defines it or not as a psychobiography.
