The movie The Lobster is discussed as a way to investigate the sexuation's formula from two guidelines: the first questions the function of the phallus in modulating a position in the sexuation's formula; the second aims the consequences of the incidence of the capitalist discourse in this process. The psychoanalytical contributions on the perversion and the criticism made to the psychoanalysis by queer theory are discussed. One concludes a radical maladaptation of the human for the assurance of a sexual identity and the persistence of an irreducible malaise. The function of love as a substitution for sexual non-relation is problematized.
