Abstract

FIGUEIREDO, Franciana  and  KLAUTAU, Perla. The subject at the mercy of the market: helplessness and precariousness of labor relations. Trivium [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.2, pp. 146-155. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2019v2p.146.

The main objective is to build a discussion about labor relations against the backdrop of a helplessness caused by the effects of neoliberalism. The flexibility imposed by the market, accompanied by the loss of rights and stability, brings with it constant demands on productivity that, in turn, engender a constant situation of vulnerability. Having this context outlined, the process of precariousness of ties in labor relations and the concept of helplessness in Freudian theory will be examined in order to make considerations about the worker-company, an idea spread by the neoliberal model as the paradigm of professional achievement.

Keywords : WORK RELATIONS; HELPLESSNESS; VULNERABILITIES; NEOLIBERALISM; PSYCHOANALYSIS.
