Abstract

EMIDIO, Thassia Souza  and  GIGEK, Thaís. “They don't want to be mothers”: some reflections on the choice for non-maternity in the present. Trivium [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.2, pp. 186-197. ISSN 2176-4891.  http://dx.doi.org/10.18379/2176-4891.2019v2p.186.

This research aimed to reflect on the experience of non-maternity as a new possibility of choice. The investigation of these dimensions was based on a qualitative research that used semi-directional interview as the instrument of data collection. It was intended to understand how these women perceive the choice for non-maternity, how the decision-making process took place, how to present this choice to their families and friends and how their future prospects think about this choice.

Keywords : NON-MATERNITY; FEMININE; WOMAN.
