Abstract

BEZERRA, Danieli Machado. History resists where Psychoanalysis insists: dialogues between two fields that investigate the past. Trivium [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.spe, pp. 31-37. ISSN 2176-4891.

This article establishes reflexive connections between the two fields of knowledge, Psychoanalysis and History. Both fields provide paths for investigations into the past. Psychoanalysis contributes with its articulations around the unconscious and, History, with time and the facts narrated about it. These two discursive paths that adopt divergent methodological proposals, one in the field of the signifier, History in the field of meaning, guide us to reflect on issues that concern the present time. We elaborated a reflective exercise on social and political problems existing in contemporary Brazil from the two fields mentioned above.

Keywords : LANGUAGE; UNCONSCIOUS; HISTORIOGRAPHY; THEORY OF HISTORY AND PSYCHOANALYSIS.
