Abstract

This paper begins by testifying the graphic proximity between history and hysteria. It approaches briefly the hysteria history, enduring the idea that she is so alive as before. It does the criticism of Janet's conception of the hysteria "moral weakness", develops Lacan's elaborations about hysteria discourse and the lecture of nowadays authors who state that the hysteria is in a limit position from civilization's point of view, or who considers she is near to the borderline diagnosis. The paper analyses the proximity between hysteria discourse and science.
