This article proposes to produce a brief and synthetic historicization of the construction and invention of adolescence from the 19th century to the present. The text introduces a look at the transformations that have occurred in the last one hundred and seventy years in the behaviors and subjectivities of a "generation" that emerges in the period of industrialization. The study is a fragment of a literature review that aims to understand the psychoanalytic clinic with adolescents throughout the twentieth century to the present day.
